Reviev
Long arranged composition with some cool and great movements. This introduction seems to be not bad, but needs more improvement with record. Sounds like garage, indeed. Anyway guitars, bass line and vocals are very good. Drums sounds nice, but some elements are just to high/loud in final mix. Melodies are moving well, but this one is more ruthmical song for me. Chrous sounds impressive and catchy. I like these radio fx on vocal line.
Overall, its very good composition, which I really like.

Good song, but became repetitive...
I love the sitar-like guitar sound in the intro of the song - the entire intro is strong. Im not sure about putting a bass guitar alone, hoever it seemed to work for this track.
Perhaps be careful not to overplay the song - at times i found there was too much bass drum and bass guitar, which muddied the sound.
I think the song is a little too long at the 7 minute mark. I would consider a radio edit and save the longer version for an album - this song could easily have ended at the 4.30 mark.
Overall a strong effort.

my review......
This intro goes on for days and days....needs to be a little shorter to keep the listeners attention....the vocals are pretty good....the mix is pretty good....but the recording quality is not very good....I like the bass and drums....they're tight....but this song needs a direction, and to get to it alot quicker...

Great feel on the intro. Musicianship is gre..
Vocals and harmonies are well done. Really like the guitar tone that is used to convey the mood on the song. This is the kind of music I would go to a club and listen to and really enjoy. The talent is definitely there with this band. The song is deeper than a lot of its counterparts floating around out there. You could really end the tune where you have the break around 4:55/57 or so. I guess when you do the song live the breakdown there adds a good bit of impact. I think the songwriter(s) has/have talent. The mix is OK. Just needs some level tweaking here and there on the guitar. Bass tone is excellent, the round sound I personally like to listen to. Lead guitar is tasteful with fills, etc. Drums sound just a little loose but they do not hurt the overall feel.

Thomas "Rock Cowboy Cobain" Dolby
sounds maybe like this artist was influenced by curt cobain. The reason for my title was that it does have a new age feel but also a little western like acoustic guitar but some rock like vocals. Gets very heavy and has great hooks, all parts of the song work well together. The production or strings on the acoustic could use just a little work. But overall a rocking tune and an A+.

Good charm and bass in the intro.
Bass: Sounds realy good in the intro but I cant pull it out through out the song. I like that bass run.
Guitar: Has a cool layed back riff
with a twist.
Drums: Steady with some creative beats.

RELAXED THAN IT STARTS TO GROOVE LITTLE MUDDY,MAYBE A WRONG PART WAS PLAYED BY A MEMBER DOES NOT SOUND RIGHT YOU WANT TO LOOK INTO THAT ON THE RECORDING BEFORE VOCALS

Tool
Reminds me of Tool and Alice In Chains a bit. Nice effects on the vox.
Bass: nice technical bit in the verse. Hear nothing wrong with it.
Lead Guitar: ok. Cool sound. Solo after 4 minutes is a bit dated and could be a bit faster.
Drums: like the stereo-effect on it.
Break doesn't seem to have much use.
Good job

Song too long for my taste
I would like to hear this song in under 5 minutes. It was just too much to take in one sitting.
Overall, the playing is fine. the mix is good for a demo. Shows off your band well.
Vocals are strong.

Review
The intro was really cool. I like how the guitar ends and the bass comes in for the transition. The bass was pretty solid in it, pretty cool riffs. The drums are also solid. I like the vocals, the vocal harmonies are cool. The melody was good. The lead guitar was really good, the solo sounded perfect. I like the build up at around 4:45, I was diggin that. I liked the tone of the guitar, it wasn't too heavy of a distortion.

Intro...
Hey guys, you asked for comments on Bass, Guitar, and drums.. The intro with the harmonics is cool. The bass and guitar sound a bit out of tune though. When the groove kicks in its great, as the track progresses, it seems as the drummer had kind of hard time getting all those fills out. What I mean is that there is a few too many of them and they are kind of taking away from the groove. I like the giutar riff that starts around 2:17 it is kind of egyptian. Bass player is laying down a great pad. Nice, a two part tune. Rock on dudes.

Good stuff
Nice bass. This song has a great buildup in the begining. Drums are cool at 2:00. Singer has a very cool voice. I like the the effect working on there. Guitars are actually probably the most outstanding part osf this song. At 3 :00 the guitars have had like six different parts, or at least it seemed that way to me. Nice tune

well mixed nice sound, but it took a long while for it to really build and curse my short attention span but i got a little bored. good guitars and drums.

drums... yuck.
Yikes... I'm a little worried right off the bat with a 7 minute song. It's pretty tough to make a 7 minute song good unless it's "hey jude" by the beatles.
The drumming is absolutely terrible throughout. He's missing his hits constantly and falls off-tempo constantly.
The bass is decent, doesn't blow me away either way.
The vocals are a bit monotone for my taste, but seemed to stay on key throuhgout.
Overall, it's a decent track with a god awful drummer. His fills sounds like a child is playing them.

Unpredictability
I wasn't sure where the song was going after the intro, good effect. Volume shifts are kind of weird. The tone and mood of the song is cool. The drums are great and only need to played with more emotion. The mix levels were OK, overall volume was good. I like the rolling Bass line with the scratchy Guitar parts. Metal flair without the metal.

nice cluster..
Bass; A calm but fitting melody + a developed sound..Could vary little more I belive..
Lead Guitar; Little old folk music ( bluegrass, Country feel).
Drums; quite boring really..But it holds together...

too long
a one-minute intro is probably a bit too much. Air-time is almost impossible with such a long intro. Don't like the ride-symbals in the intro too much.
Like the moody atmosphere. Clearly a talented guitarplayer.
Good doubled vocals.
Song could have stopped at 4 minutes. 6.53 is too long except when you come up with an amazing break. The break you guys use isn't very intense. It kinda ruins the climax. Lots of potential.
Reminds me of Creed.

Moody
The music is rather simplistic and at times even sloppy. Not really bad but noticable. I like the sound put forth with the rhythm guitar. The best part is the vocalist. Very smooth and intriguing. I like this song and am noticing tighter performances as the song goes on. Maybe my ear wasn't in tune. Good song. Interesting breakdown or bridge. Trippy.

Nothing Short Of Amazing
Great opening guitar. I love that! The opening is the hook for me I think, but then it kinda goes to the bass part by itself and kinda throws me off. But then all the instruments kick in and play together and it sounds marvellous. Great mixture of the instruments!
The vocals have this dark moody sound which I love. Mix awesomely for this songs melody and beat. They know when to hit the right notes when needed. They are nothing short of amazing in the chorus. But they seem to remind me of someone, not sure who at this point though. The lyrics are pretty good too, all the right lyrics at the right beats.
Great job on this song! Keep playing and i'll keep listening! Thanks for the great tune guys!

A bit too long
Nice riff, nice voice (Alice in Chains), overall the song sounds good but I'd use the axe here and there, 6:53 is way too long

Great Tones
The guitar tones sound really good as do the drums, bass, and vocals. The vocals in the verse remind me a little of Beck. I like them very much.
Some constructive critisism: The drums are a bit "jerky." In other words they are lacking feel. There is somewhat of an epic feel to this song (lengthy), but consider maybe doing a 2nd version. In this second version I think you could cut quite a bit out of this song while keeping the purpose of the song together.
Just a thought.
Really good song overall.

6:53 is not a good sign...
The best part of this recording is the drum sound. Cymbals a little more up front.
The length is killing the song.
Other than that not really much to keep my attention.
Like a roller coaster that only goes up hill.

good and bad
Intro is a little long for it to be on a recording. Live is fine to have that long intro, but get to your stuff faster.
You have a good sound, great vocalist for your style. Hard but still melodic.
Sounds like some tuning issues in the clean guitar...
Lead guitar is good, not doing too much to detract form the rest of the song, but not hanging out in the background either.
You might want to end it right after the guitar solo. It sounds like a totally different (and worse) band after the solo. This just drags the song on too long, and could turn listeners off as it gets monotonous after a while.
The talent is definately there, but try to save up a little more cash and get this song re-recorded at a better studio.

rock
The intro bass and guitar are very cool, and the melody fits very well with the music. I like how it gets heavier as the song goes. The guitar riff is awesome. Kind of sounds Creed-rock when the chorus kicks in.

Intro too long
After 55 seconds I was wondering if this was going to be an instrumental.
Sounds like the guitarist has only been playing for a few years.
Nice drumming. Good chops and props to the drummer.
The chorus is much better than the verses. The verses need a little work.

gregs other band
nice mood right from the get-go. slow and steady. then the drums drop out and a build begins. looking forward to hearing the vocalist.
bass is a little muddy, a little hard to hear on my speakers.
vocalist reminds me of greg graffin, nice held-back voice. perhaps a little too held-back.
drums are tight, nicely recorded.

where's the hostility?
i got a little worried when i saw the hefty 6:53 song length. i usually like to listen to a song three times before i start to review it. this song was pretty good though, so i didn't mind the time spent with it.
i liked the bass intro to the song, but could have done without the brief guitar portion before it. the bass, followed by the drums builds the tension for the song much better than the guitar intro does and with a song this long, everything needs to be absolutely essential to the track to keep it. if you were to start this song :24 seconds in and end it at 6:34 everything would work much, much better.
the song builds nicely upon itself, but i feel a little let down by the time the end comes around. at around the 4:45 mark the song has built up enough tension that there should be a cathartic release, either through a crushing breakdown or some gutteral screams. this is an agry song, i wanted to hear some anger in the vocals.
the music on this song is tight although some places (like 2:00 and 3:41) i wanted busier drums. but overall the guitar has a catchy lead riff, a proficient solo and a nice distorted tone. the bass is low and driving throughout the song and it follows the drums well.

Bass and Drums lead the song.
The beginning is a little long, but kept my head nodding. Then I really like the vocal sound when they came in, and melody was perfect.

Slow start
I'm 30 seconds in and staring at that counter that tells me that this song is almost 7 minutes long and I'm dying here. You need to get to the punch a bit quicker on this one if you are going to hold the attention of the listener. I'd try to cut this length down at least 2 minutes if not more.
- GWML from Boston, Massachusetts on 21Jun2005

Warms up
A bit of a slow start - the intro is a little long - but this gets better as it goes along.
I like the guitar sounds, esp the heavy distorted guitar. It's heavy without being fizzy.
The vocal melody over the top is cool.
The drums are a bit muted sounding. The snare could do with a touch more snap, the toms are indistinct, and the kick is too buried.
You could try making a submix out of the drum tracks, compress the bejesus out of it, and blend with the original mix for a more punchy srum sound.
I'm hearing a Metallica influence here.
Good dynamics, cool song

driving song
the bass is driving and the drums just puts the mood into high gear. the vox sings well with the same melody of the guitar and bass.
- hystera from Chalmette, Louisiana on 21Jun2005

Epic
It's obvious that a lot of thought and hard work went in to this. Why does the clean guitar theme sound so out of tune? Maybe for tension? The drums and bass sound tight together--good players, good rhythm section. Lead gtr has some cool sounds and varied styles, from tough riffs to clean arpeggios. I listened to the whole song (all 7 minutes of it) and I think you could trim some of the fat, especially in sections where it repeats, say 8 times, chop it in half to 4, so it doesn't take so long to get to the next section.

Two words
Guitar Tone
Spend some time finding some interesting guitar tones. You all seem to have pretty good chops, but the tone is lacking. The vocals while in key lack conviction. It sounds like the singer is not confident. Perhaps instead of finding one cool riff and repeating it, you could add to it, add some texture, some life.
Not bad overall though

Back to Seattle sounds
This starts with over a minute of mellow understated guitar and bass. The bass works the song - reminding me of The Doors in early exchanges. Then the vocal comes in and the song goes off into a Soundgarden, Pearl Jam pastiche. The song is a little overlong to have any commercial potential - but these guys seem to know what they are doing and are furrowing this field of music with some style.

Still going...
The song probably should have picked up vocally around the 25 second mark. The intro. is pretty and catchy yet I feel that it drags bottom a little. I was beginning to wonder if I was hearing an instrumental song instead of an alternative rock song with vocals. It was kind of like a prop plane with limited run way that takes too long to pull back and take off. I do like the transition around the 2:10 mark. Good lead guitar and drums throughout. Nice job on the bass guitar as well. I do have to say that 6:53 is too much time for this song. It could be shortened thus presenting a much "tighter" performance. This band does have alot of potential at any rate.
