Maui (part 2)

One of the days we went went on a snorkeling adventure. We went to molokini... a crater in the middle of the ocean surrounded by coral. Seen some interesting fish and coral there. Next it was on to see turtles. They took us to another spot and seen sea turltes... yeah I swam with sea turtles. Awesome!
Took us on a little tour where we seen some celebrity homes... en route back to the dock we seen whales. That was pretty cool as they were some big whales.

Overall the trip was enjoyable. Somewhat stressful but I tried my hardest to put the bullshit in the back of my mind and enjoy the time I spent with my family and my girl.

Oh wow. That is shit sooo true...

Capricorn Dec 4 2011
You may find that someone you deal with today seems annoyed by you or resentful of you - but the reason will not be obvious. If you are a typical Capricorn, you will want to know exactly what this person is thinking and why, and you may waste a lot of time analyzing everything you said, everything he/she said, and every possible reason for the contempt you are feeling. The more you think about it, the more paranoid you could become. Let it go - what you are sensing most likely has nothing to do with you. But this does present an opportunity to work on being more self-confident no matter how others react to your presence. -- Copyright (c) DailyHoroscope. Download it now -- http://bit.ly/DHmobile

Lifes too short for the bullshit

I learned that I guy that I knew from ashcroft way back many many years died a week or so ago. He died of cancer I read on the facebook.
I didn't know him that well or anything, I mean we weren't buddies or anything like that but I do remember him. He was maybe a few years younger than i. Its a shame that he passed away.
To put my own spin on the situation... life is too short for the bullshit and whattin‘. I'm not gonna sit here and decide just what the fuck it is ir isn't what you don't know you do or don't want to do...
Lifes to short ____, figure it the fuck out...

Horoscope for yesterday...

Capricorn Dec 1 2011
Que sera, sera - whatever will be will be. Those are some of the lyrics to an old song that has enduring popularity. Perhaps it's the simple acceptance of what life might bring that puts people at ease. You would be wise to embrace such a philosophy yourself right now, Capricorn. Though certain aspects of your life are stressful to you now, you would benefit from not allowing yourself to worry over them. In fact, a more laid-back attitude would help to dispel some of your difficulties. Giving too much energy to a negative makes it more powerful. Try letting go, and see how much easier it gets.

Random thoughts while getting paid to wait...

Anyone out there ever try get fucked up on NyQuil?...
In college I gave it a try... didn't workout.

Some people might think its fun to sit in a van down by the runway at YVR waiting for someone to assist in a job... but honestly. Its fucking lame.

If I keep saying it... will it come true.

La de la... its getting cold out there... brrrrr.
If only I didn't fuck around I'm high school... I could have. Become an austronaut.

Work...

What a fucking joke...

Patience

Axl Rose wrote the lyrics (I think so anyways) for the Guns n‘ Roses song patience. And goddamnit its a good song with a good message.
I don't have much patience and its high fucking time I learn to have some. Take it easy big fella. Rome wasn't build in a day.

Work

Nothing new going on today. Well there is but no sense with the dirty laundry. The weather is shit. But not as bad as someplace colder so no sense bitching about it.
One could say I powered through the day. The weather was shit... like I mentioned before... but whatever. Its vancouver. It rains. No biggie.
Had a good last couple of days...

Horoscopes...

Sometimes these things are full of shit. Or at least you want to believe they are full of shit. Todays. I like...

Capricorn Nov 23 2011
Don't lose faith in yourself, Capricorn. You have a mission in mind, but you may not feel completely secure about your purpose within it. That's okay. Sometimes the most important moments in our lives are experienced that way. If you feel something in your heart - if you have a special passion to pursue a dream or to right a wrong or to form a bond with someone - then follow your feelings. Don't worry about planning it out, as those of your sign are inclined to do. Don't fret over whether you're making the right choice. Just go. You'll figure it out as you go.

Maui

So. That was paradice US style. That island (what I seen anyways) is pretty fucking nice. Warm sandy beaches...

Had a few poopy attitude moments. But whatever, travelling with 7 other people; its bound to happen sometime.
Seen a crater that wasn't really a crater, (the sign said so) was pretty neat. Don‘n see that shit everyday.
The hotel was pretty dope. 4.5 star condo, 3 bedroom 3 bathroom. Very nice, ocean view. The first 4 days it was nice. Not really a cloud in the sky. Sun tanned and played in the ocean. Relaxed by the pool.
Basically let all the bullshit and whattin‘ (i.e cares and worries) slip away. On Monday we drove to the fore mentioned crater. Tuesday we went into a town called Lahaina and fucked around there for a while. Wednesday was my moms birthday, happy 60th birthday mom. My dad planned to take us to a luau. That was pretty neat.

West effin jet

So were not even off the ground yet. Plane is chalked full of fuckin‘ kids of all ages and sizes... fuckin‘ rights.
To top it all off... I just want some booze to make this show a little more bearable and nope... not yet. Gotta fuck around with the snacks and shit first.
And oh yeah. Sitting by myself with a couple. They are nice though. Its just these crying babies... who brings babies on a vacation to hawaii...Where's the goddamn booze...

Maui bound

Aaaaah. Vacation here we come. Ill most likely be out of the service area or just don't give a shit to use a communication device for the next 7 days. Hopefully this trip is good. I do although have some mixed feelings about going on this trip. I know it will be good. But a small part of me thinks I'm chasing shadows... will fully explain one day... stay posted folks.

Jams...

Todays jams was probably the best jam I've had in ages. Feels good to be back in awesome world. All we did was change up the set list and presto. Plus maybe cause we practiced more in the last little while.
Last jam until sometime around the 22nd of November cause i'm fucking off to hawaii for 8 days

remembering to stand alone...

its been a while since i've had to rely on no one but myself. Once in a while i realize that this is what it is. Still on the fence when it comes to being sad as fuck and just getting over it and living my life the way i should be living it. Which is the best possible fucking way i can see it working out.

Biomedicals labs and sunshine...

Went down to bc biomedical lab today to give more blood. Doctor wanted to check to see if I have hepatitus... but since Leah doesn't have hep... I'm pretty sure I don't have hep.
Since I had to take thems stool samples, I haven't really had them stomach pains or whatever the hell was wrong with me. Yay!

Time...

So this is what time is like. I suppose how you use your time depends on how you feel. Right now my time is spent hungover in bed feeling a bit like shit. Which means that my mind isn't busy so now I'm thinking about things I have totally no control over.
And since I don't feel like doing anything other than lying here watching tv. Maybe I should just get up and take the day on...

Happiness in the form of lunch...

Today I had lunch with my favourite person in the whole wide world. Miss Leah Bennett, I had a cheeseburger with fries and she had a mushroom cheeseburger with fries. Good times. We went to runway cafe by the airport. Its ok. Decent food.

Fireworks and dogs...

Molly dog is scared shitless... err in guess I should say pissless. They usually go out at 10pm. And well, molly won't go be. Too many fireworks. She doesn't like them at all. She's been running around shaking all evening...
Oh yeah. No kids coming to my apartment for halloween. No tricks or treats here for kids... heehee.

Happy friday

Today I only worked for 4.5 hours. Then topped up my day with some banked overtime hours. And fucked off outta vancouver at 1pm. I rented a car cause the barnicle is not a reliable at the moment. Having friends in high places I got a kick ass deal on it. Plus they upgraded me to a suv from a compact at no charge. That 2011 ford explorer is a nice drive. Thinking of buying one of them... they nice.
Anyways... I'm in the village of ashcrof at my parents house. Its nice to get out of the bullshit of vancouver once in a while... giggity.

Plane crash

Well holy shit. I'm glad I decided to do my exercises at home today. I had played with the idea of going to the gym after leah left for cache creek today.
And you know what happened. On the corner or russ baker way and gilmour (the route I take to the gym) a plane crashed about an hour ago or so... pretty lucky, I could have been at that intersection an hour ago.
The odds are that I wouldn't have been involved... but still wow.

Strange days

Lately these days have been very stressful. From my mom being stressed cause she's burned out carrying the burden of her parents... not that's its a burden but there's more children out there that aren't doing fuck all. Sorry but the truth hurts.
And from my recent tough times... I'm not getting into my problems (I'm not going to air out my dirty laundry to blogger for all the world to see) cause its none of the internets business.
Anyways its feeling allot better lately. Strange still though.
On a high note though, my father is retiring at the end of the month and he's having a retirement lunch in kamloops on saturday. Way to go dad. I'm excited for you and your new venture. Love ya pops.

Good times... good talks

I have always seeked insights or wisdom if you will from a guy that's pretty special to me. He has been there to offer advice when I need it or just listened when I need to spew shit out of my mouth. I got to talk to him today and he has told me things that I was already thinking. A little bit of assurance that I am not crazy or for lack of better term... fucked in the head.
That man is my Uncle Ron.
He has... I suppose, guided me through some shitty times in my life. Has helped me out with the good times too i.e... musically (helped to finance my bass amp)
Anyways I forgot totally where I was going and veered off topic.... oh yeah. I wanted to thank my uncle ron for influencing me in certain ways and helping me to see the other side of the spectrum.

Some bullshit was happening 350 kilometers away. So I was asked to close down my blog. Sinced the bug was squished I'm sure I can turn this back on.
I'm glad some people that don't mean shit to me went ahead and got a fucking life.

At it again Mr. Horoscope

Capricorn
Oct 7 2011

You may be feeling insecure and worried about a relationship. It might be a romance, a friendship, or even a family association. You might think that this person has misunderstood you, and may not perceive you in your truest light. This bothers you, because you don't like to be misunderstood. And because there is uncertainty surrounding this important relationship, you fear that it might cause a rift between the two of you that could eventually lead to the end of it. But events of the coming days should serve to reassure you that everything is just fine.

This was my horoscope for yesterday... wow.

Things are changing in my world if I like it or not. Time to accept it and let it ride... fuck yeah.
And oh, this was my horoscope for yesterday.

Capricorn
Oct 5 2011
Has a strange nervousness come over you, Capricorn? Do you find yourself struggling with any kind of change? If so, you are picking up vibrations from friction in the atmosphere. You are probably dealing with a time of turbulence in your life, but that doesn't mean it has to be a negative time for you. Things are changing - that's for sure. But change can be good. Think about the areas of your life that could use some evolution. There are a few things you would like to improve. While you may have a challenge or two to face in the days ahead, your path will ultimately grow quite peaceful and purposeful before long.

Honorable mention my cousin Keri, t‘was good to get a girl perspective. Thanks cuz.

...the day of rest...

Aaah. Sunday the day of rest. For some... the day of being hung over. I was the driver lastnight so i'm not hung over. Had a really good night, got to meet some new people. Went over to shannon and jeffs house. They recently moved in together so they had a house warming party.

Taped a interview with George W. Bush in the tenth anniversary of the terroist attacks on 9/11. Its a pretty powerful documentary. It tells the story of what he was doing that day.

Lately I have been on the positive side of thinking of the next stage in life (wife, kids, and home ownership). And it does not scare the shit out of me. Looking around at other peoples kids used to make me think... screw that. Why would anyone want to bring a little human into this world. But for some reason, my mindset has changed.  I want all those things. The happiness I see in others with kids. etc...

Changes

I suppose the only constant in life is change.except for drath and taxes... but anyways, some change is good, some not so good. There is no sense in fearing change or being afraid of it. Embrace it... you never know what might come next.

The world is your oyster... whatever the hell that means... I like the glass half full or half empty. Its hard to see the glass as half full most of the time. Damn depression, its always there... and the negativity. Just trying to train my brain to stop with that shit.

Flyday... richmond style and new phases...

Good morning. Tried those chocolate cheerios. Meh, not that good. Little ticket on global morning news says that bc residents who smoke may be paying more for healthcare... I say good. Everyone knows that sucking fags (that's cigarettes if anyone decided make a stink cause I used the word fag...) isn't any good for your body. But how does one make another pay for something like that. Honour system?
No other notables to mention really. Worked an hour overtime today taking the toll to 4 hours for the week.

I'm gonna start a new section of my blog... its called the middle finger section. Its basically where I send a big middle finger to whom I mention. A clean way of saying fuck you basically.

Middle finger notables:

Another time waster...

So far so good. Work is not to busy...
Have a few issues with the world but you know what... I'm alive, living in canada. Pretty protected against economic slowdowns and wars. Those are two things I'm pretty happy for. Got a roof over my head and food in my belly... a selection of food in my belly to boot.
If those things were to occur... well wars anyways. Suppose one would have to choose between fighting (depends on the reason.I suppose) or running for the sticks and life like the 1800‘s. Hunter/gather type shit... id almost prefer the latter. This city lifestyle is fun and full of opportunity but the country living still has it hold on the craig.
Its a tight rope though cause the city... well Vancouver rules anyways.
Jungletown jam session was pretty good. Actually it was really good, felt good too. Good version of pretty much every song.

Another glorious hump day...

Na, not really. It wasn't that glorious. It was what it was. It was nice out today. Clear skies, no rain, no wind.
Although, i didn't work overtime today. First time in about 3 weeks. Was nice to have an extended evening. Planned on going to the gym all day... shit the bed, didn't go. Too tired... or burned out... whatever the cause is, id say it justified.
Another night spending time with my best friend.
All in all, its the downward slide to the weekend. Good. This week has gone fast, and not to stressful. Which is nice cause my job shouldn't be stressful I install windscreens in cars for christ sakes. Where's the stress in that. Plus i have decided to not bring my work bitches‘ home (complaining about work to Leah). No one likes someone whom bitches about the same shit day in and day out. Suppose I should just either put up with it or shut up.
Feeling the urge to get the hell outta dodge for a few days. Mini-vacation is what I need.  Rest and relaxation is nice and all at home, but it sure as hell ain't as good as leaving everything for a few days.

Tuesday, 27 September 2011

Taking back tuesday

Decided that I should take the night off from jungletown. Getting a little run down from the overtime from work. Figured its time to taker a little easy. No point in burning the candle at both ends. Leah started painting the kitchen/dining room. Looks good too. Ill post photos when it's a done.
Got a little bit of a rain delay here... just when we think its gonna stop, it starts up again.
It let up enough for us to get the job done. Went home, took Leah out to the Italian Tomato cause she wanted some spaghetti. Its a restaurant in Richmond. Its pretty good and you get huge servings.
Came home and watched some tv on the couch... did 2 loads of laundry too. Just the kind of rest and relaxation day I needed. Little R&R with my lady.

Monday, 26 September 2011

Blah.. blah... blah...

Went to the gym for the first time in a long time. 15 minute cardio... 15 minute weights. Jesus I am sore, feels good though. I needed to get back there. Had been about 3 to 4 weeks since I was there. Nothing else really happened to interesting.
Oh wait, almost forgot to mention... Leah started painting the kitchen. We got the ok from management. Getting pumped to see what's it gonna look like when its done.

Sunday post

Today jungletown starts recordings, we have decided to start recording our newest songs. So far Sunday has been pretty relaxing. Cooked up some breakfast (hash browns, sausages, eggs and toast.

Today I saw on the news that girls I'm saudi arabia now have the right to vote... its about time. Yay for equality... finally.

We got the drums mic'd up in a few hours. Now bad for what we have. Started laying down tracks for a song we'll call "Warchild" for all intesive purposes. Plus I forget what were calling it now.  Its our newest song so its nice to record something new first. Sounds pretty good.
Second song on the ducket, a nice little song called "Sound In Chains".
Packed it in at 3:30pm. Only took a few takes. Taking a break helps cause fresh ears are good. It helps to decifer if they are junk or not.

Saturday, 24 September 2011

Hum...

I have noticed that the pesky hum or wooshing sound in my right ear has returned. At least this season i'm not to freaked out about it. Still a pain the ass though. Lessons to be learned... don't abuse your ears with loud music or loud sounds.
Didn't get up to much today. Pretty much a lazy saturday, which is good.
Just Molly, Sophie and myself. Watched "Wall Street - Money Never Sleeps". Was an ok movie... that's about it. That was my day...Pretty lame but that's ok too.

Friday, 23 September 2011

Happy friday

Well. Went to the husky on Marine on the way home from getting some chinese food. Figured I buy a lotto ticket. Just a scratch ticket. Felt a little lucky. To my dismay I didn't win shit. But on the flip side. The lady asked me for my identification. Yep, I got carded buying lotto tickets. I should add that I'm 32 years old.
Decided to watch the A Team movie. To my surprise the scenery looked lots like ashcroft. Thanks to google I found out that it was filmed around ashcroft/vancouver...

Working in the rain...

Sorta like whistle while you work.. only far far lamer. Is lamer even a word... if its not is should... definition: something worse than lame.
Classic vancouver though. It is what it is. The people making the decisions don'n understand what rain is... what's "don'n" you ask. A guy I used to work with at supreme windows in calgary about 8 years ago wrote "don'n touch my boards" when I asked him he said "you know like do not."
I started to laugh cause I'm a bit of an asshole like that and made fun of it lack of english skills... then I corrected him by telling him it is "don't". Then in return he taught me what "pinche puto" is translated in english.
So my mom called me and told me that Orance Plamondon (my grandpa) is in the hospital. He said that he wasn't doing too good and that the doctor wanted to meet with the family. What does this mean?... I don't know, but it doesn't sound good. Guess ill have to wait and see.

Didn't work overtime... err wait a minute, worked one hour today. T‘was nice to get off work at a decent time today.  Watched some TV with the dogs starring at the front door waiting for Leah to come home. Off to jams tonight, figured that'll do me good to rock out a little bit. Always been little bit of a stress reliever.

Markets and monopolies

Loonie takes a dive more than two cents (as of 6:36am). Hang seng dropped more than 900 points.  Didn't someone predict this to happen to start the end of the world. Floods, severe storms and stock market crashes? Or just plain coincidence...
Either way, that's effed up.
Monopolies... every time I hear abything about said insurance company (icbc... idiots controlling british columbia) makes me cringe. Get rid of the monpoly Ms. Clark. Isn't ICBC a crown corporation?
Anyways enough of that... going to work soon. Working in the rain... that happens. Gots me another weekend without my bestie. Leah is going to the creek again to visit with her pal. Looks to be another weekend with me new friend Link... maybe even a gym visit.

Wednesday, 21 September 2011

Burned out... or just tired of my path.

Its a little bit of a blanket topic... mostly not true. Think I'm just feeling the effects of so much work. 10.5 hours worth of work for the last two weeks is starting to take a toll on me. First off, I can honestly say that I effin‘ don't like my job. But I choose to work these hours. And I choose this path so I shouldn't wank off. But sometimes its better to get shit off your chest than to let it stew.
Tomorrow is the day of pay, so that makes it sorta worth it. Don't really got anything else to say. No thoughts, no more comments. Suppose I should get off the train to poopy land and just relax and enjoy the ride :)

Goodbye summer 2011

Vancouver... welcome to fall. Thinking back on all the times that were had.  Mostly good times, some bad times. But the good totally over shadow the bad.  Work was work, changed co-workers, got a few new managers. The only real constant was windscreen installations at YVR.
Jungletown played a few shows, you could call them successful. We didn't lose money.
Went to the symphony of fire fireworks show, went camping with Leahs family, went to the village (ashcroft) for some R&R for a week. Started this blog. Went and visited my grandma, and aunt janet in Campbell River in the beginning of summer. I'm drawing a blank but I know it was a good summer. Let's see what the fall has to offer...

Monday, 19 September 2011

Back to the daily grind

Another fine day (monday) at YVR. Another day of too many windscreens, and not enough people. Suppose that'll happen when... wait a minute. I said no bitching about work.
Its sunny today which is nice. As of lunch time the stock market is in the red for the day. What a yo-yo that mess has become. Oh well, I have no stocks so it doesn't really affect me. But one day I would like to so paying attention might help me.
I have been trying to win this radio contest where they play one second of a song. No one has gotten it right in about 5 days. So the pot is up to $3500.00 and no one has guessed the sing that I think it is. Trying to get in, but its pritneer (yes I said pritneer, pretty near shortened red neck style) impossible to get in. Gonna have to try tomorrow.
New TV on tonight. Finally Monday lineup is new. Been a long summer... actually not really. But watching re-runs in somewhat lame.
Watched season premieres of two and a half men, and How I met your mother. And a bit is a new series about playboy bunnies, I forgot what's its called. Looks to be a decent little show.

Sunday, 18 September 2011

...

Didn't really do to much today. Played zelda for a total of 23 hours. From Friday to sunday. What a good use of days of... no not really but whatever. Looking after the dogs and playing video games was all I had to do.
Days almost done, sitting on the couch watching 28 weeks later. Would be pretty effed if that actually happened.
Yay. Leahs home. Missed her. Well. Good night another week of windscreen installations x 90.

Saturday, 17 September 2011

Field trip to highgate medical

Got up bright and early, took the dogs out for the morning pee & poop. (MPP is you will). Figured i'd go to the doctors office early to beat the lineup. Boy I sure dislike the bullshit of having to waste a day waiting at the clinic. But sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Count my lucky stars, i'm third in line... maybe second as it looks like a couple ahead of me.
I'm not expecting to hear anything. Seriously wrong with me. Guess i‘ll have to wait and see
Correction... I'm second in line. Good. As soon as the lady behind the desk got here. Seemed like people jockying for position. Wouldn't it work first in, first out. The honour system of you will. Maybe the honor system doesn't apply to bitches in green jackets yearing yoga pants with about 60 pounds of "extra" weight.  I think I may have puked in my mouth a little bit.

Turns out all my vitals are good. But I have a little something going with my liver. So the doctor ordered up some blood tests for hepatitis A and B. Just to be sure, he says there's nothing to lose sleep or worry about.
Went home, ate some brunch. Texted Leah a little bit and hit the video games for a few hours. Took the dogs for a walk then hit the video games again.

Friday, 16 September 2011

Friday... friday... friday

Yes its true, its friday. Its been a long week. If you were to judge the week on how many parts moved (windscreens installed) at YVR, it would be crazy. Something like 60 to 70...ish for the week.
Tonight is going to consist of video games, its Zelda time! Sounds lame but whatever, its what I wanna do. At least I'm not out there looking for drugs.
Got a call from the doctors office on Wednesday I think. They received my test results. Doctor shafie told me either way the results go she was going to have me in to tell me the results. Could be something... could be nothing. We'll have to wait and see. I'm not sweating it, had this issue off and on for years... like close to 20 years or so.
Off to work I go...
Aaah lunch time. We took lunch a little early cause of lull inbetween windscreen deliveries and availability. Having leftover beef and broccoli that my lovely girl made a few days ago. Pretty tasty... she sure is a fabulous cook. Pretty lucky guy to have MLB in my world "Miss Leah Bennett" not to be confused with "Major League Baseball"
Got h ome from work at 6:10pm. Was planning on working late today but that'll happen once in a while.
Decided to cook up some fish. Found some white fish, forget what its called. Anyways put some canola oil in a frying pan. Cut up the fish, dipped it in flour and fried it up along with some garlic toast. Was ok with some tartar sauce to boot.
Rest of the night was spend on zelda...

Thursday, 15 September 2011

Usual thursday, September 15th 2011 styles...

Leah went to Kelowna today to visit her friend. Its just myself, molly dog and sophie dog until sunday. Gots jams with jungletown tonight so the dogs get the puppy condo. The puppy condo is our bedroom. Talked to Leah, she decided against Kelowna and headed for Ashcroft instead...
- Cut to 8:58pm -
Listening to demos that we just recorded. Not to bad, gotta say. Had a couple shaftebury 4:20's. That beer if ya don't know the brand. That shits brewed in Delta, BC.

Suppose i could explain my hatred for KLM...

Last year around canada day I won a radio contest from 99.3 the fox in Vancouver. The contest was for me and a friend to fly to Manchester, England and partake in a meet and greet with saul hudson (a.k.a slash from Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver). But before we got the chance to take off the plane broke down... yup you guessed it.
Was a KLM DC-10. Same one I see everyday landing at YVR. Anyways, when they told us that the flight was going to be delayed 24 hrs. I thought to myself... this isn't going to do at all. We would get to manchester 2 hours after the show was started. Went home, got some sleep. Got up at sometime around 6am. And got on the phone to delta airlines (aparently delta, KLM and Air France are in ca-hoots) and they accomodated me. I told them my story and they hooked me up with a flight to Salt Lake City, Utah from vancouver. Then from SLC to Paris, France. And then to Manchester.
We arrived around 4pm GMT. Got to the hotel and asked the lady at the front desk for a wake up call for 6 so we could make it to the show for 7. Well the phone rang at 7. Aparently the lady forgot and called us at 7. Way to go bitch. So we got a cab and make it there at like 7:15pm...ish. done... missed the meet and greet.
I had the tour managers number (the radio station gave me the number just in case something went wrong) and ran down the street to a pay phone to call him. But to my dismay the phone was broken. Yup. Almosy destined to not meet Slash. What a bunch of bullshit I though. But what can you do. I still got to see one of my childhood idols play in a tiny venue in university of manchester.
Went back to the hotel, ordered a few pints and went to sleep. Flew our the next morning (july 4th, 2010) to JFK international airport in NYC. Arrived on NYC sometime, don't remember when. But let me tell you JFK on Independance day= gong show. So much security...
Got the hell outta there and flew to minnesota. Lay over there for 3 hours. Ate a burger and had a pint. Arrived back in Vancouver a few hours later.
Told this story to Todd Hancock and Karen K, the fox's afternoon DJ's. They were going to try and get me a meet and greet pass for when Slash played here some months later. But nothing materialized. Still was a pretty cool adventure.
Oh... side note: none of my friends that were available to go had a passport except for one; Szymon Pekalski.

Hump day

Nothing interesting happening today. Same ole same ole. Went to work at 7:30am. Came home at 6:00pm. Tried to do some banking after work but our computer has become a piece of shit. Only half the time though. Pour Glitch (tis what I call the computer cause well... it glitches out every once in a while). Had to restart it. In the time it takes to restart the computer, I had a shower. Since I got the blogger app on my phone. I can post to this from my phone.  Yup... in the year 2011 you can write in your journal (blog) from you mini handheld computer (smartphone).
Yup. That's about it. TV on the couch hanging out with my favourite human being Leah. And my two favourite puppies Sophie and Molly.

Tuesday‘s jams

Got up. Felt more rested today. Got lots of sleep lastnight. Went to work. Airport crew pounded through 21 jobs between three of us. Yup 21 windscreens installed. Your welcome. Whatever. Took us 10.5 hours. Got off work. Leah made some delicious chili with garlic toast and coleslaw. Yummy.
Left for jams around 7:15. Started recording demos for our new album. Recorded demo versions of "jungletown","my soul", "abc", a song with the working title "new crow" (a remake of an old song called Black Crow), and Sound in Chains and our newest song "war child".
Whilst we were on break outside a member of Skylight Thief asked is if we were interested in playing a show at the Roxy sometime in november. That's pretty cool, think were gonna accept that one. The Roxy seems like a pretty cool place to play a rock show. Nothing else going on. 10-4 over and out.

Back to reality... september 12th style.

So tired this morning. My eyes are burning. All in all though, was worth it. Was a good road trip with my lady and her cousins. T‘was quite a while since I was on the yellowhead highway to edmonton. Wasn't able to find the jasper bear though that I remember when I was a kid. That'll happen I suppose.
Work... back to the gong show. Is it really a gong show, or is it just whats preceived in my head at this time. Is it really that bad? Maybe its just certain verables that make it lame...
Lunch time... pounded out 10 jobs between 2.5 of us. I say 2.5 cause someone came out to help at 11am. Better late then never I suppose.
Got a coupon for a&w from cory so its papa burger for lunch today. Have been craving that shit for a while now. Happy now... sad later.
Upon coming back from lunch. The KLM DC-10 landed at YVR (vancouver international airport) and uttered under my breath."fuck you KLM". Will explain these harsh words for the airliner at a later date. Now i'm home after 10.5 hours of work again.
Now back to that happy now... sad later. Ima starting to get a stomach ache... that happens to me after eating fast food. Damn you fast food.
Went to white spot with Leah for dinner. Went to superstore to have a look (we do that often) and what did I find. Low and behold "The Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess" for the wii. Count my lucky stars. And its only $20.00.  I had to have it. Impulse buy but I don't care. I love the zelda series... only one I haven't played is the ones for the game cube.
Anyways its late and i'm done for the day. Au revoir.

Back to BC.

Left Steven and Shawnas house around 9:30. Picked up some alberta gasoline for 105.9 a litre. Thinking that's cheap is somewhat a joke. But that's what you get these days. Everyone has the story "I remember when gas was 39.9 a litre..." that happens when supply and demand with a little good ole fashioned human greed plays a roll in price fixing. :)
Stopped in jasper for some sushi at Sayuri Japanese Restaurant. Same place we hit up on the way to Edmonton. We were gonna stop at the pizza place, but it didn't happen.  Someplace called slate mountain we stopped for some shale. Got a bunch of cool rocks. We stopped in valemount for some rip off bc gas (131.9 per litre). Stopped once again for a washroom break a few kilometers east of Blue River. Same place we stopped on the way to the chuck (edmonton)
We stopped again in kamloops and ate at a place called "the chopped leaf" got back to vancouver just after midnight.

Spruce Grove - day two

Got up at 9:30. Quite rested I gotta say. Sky is blue. Looks to be a nice day out there.
Turns out its a nice day out here. Wedding ceremony was nice. Went to red lobster for the first time. Had some lobster dip. And a couple caesars.
Went to the Kinnickinnick gluten free store. Was good times. Then we ended up at earls for a lunch with the wedding people.
Since I had a fairly big appetizer at Red Lobster, iI'm not to hungry. So I settled on a pint of Budweiser (one again... when in Rome). Retired to Steven and Shawnas house for some back yard sittin‘.
Ended up playing a game called "the game of things". I think that's what's its called. Went to bed around 1:00am.

One long day

Friday was a day or work. 10 hours worth again. Done at 6pm. Well actually 5:30pm but i did call to order resin caps at 5:45pm so technically i did work until 6. I packed for our trip the night before so i had a shower and we were off.
Not before we stopped off at the hudson pub for some dinner. Had burger and fries and two pints (Leah was driving). Got back on the road at 7:30.
Arrived at Theresa‘s around 9:00pm. Chatted it up for a while, it was decided that we get up at 3:00am and leave at 3:30am, then hit the hay at 11:00pm.
Woke up at 3:00am. Brushed my teeth, loaded up the pathfinder and we were off. I drove first. So tired i might add, but i got her done.
Got to kamloops around 6:00am. The crew ate mcdonalds... myself, nothing. Should have aten something cause goddamnit I'm hungry.
Fell asleep somewhere between 7ish and woke up around 9am. Drove again for a few hours from just before valemount to jasper. Stopped in for some sushi. Sorry Elysia, didn't have time to stop in. Maybe on the way back. Friend i used to hangout with lives there. Manages the pizza place from what i remember.
Left jasper. 20 minutes out i think we came across some wildlife. We seen some mountain goats on the shoulder of the road and in the creek having a drink.
Fell asleep... some point in time i woke up and seen a moose  .
Got into town around 6:30ish. Had a shower, went to booze store, bought a case of pilsner bottles. (When in rome... err i mean when in alberta. Deaner would be happy). Shawna and Steven had a party, i volunteered to cook hot dogs and hamburgers with shawnas help. Went over well as no one got sick.
Finally hit the sheets around 11:30pm...
zzzz zzzz zzzz

hump day o' fun...ish

The title is in reference to work, but i'm not interested in complaining about work. Suppose i could, but really does it matter.

.../ start  bitch here

end bitch here\...

Wow that was worth the stress relief... now time to edit it. Too much of a puss to leave them comments, but when you slag your work out in the world, they dont take to kindly to it. I need my paycheck for the next little while, so on with the show...

Spend the evening getting ready for our trip to edmonton, we leave tomorrow after work, dont know if i'll be posting when i'm in the chuck, but ill take some notes and see what comes back with us. Hopefully ill get to see my cousins when i'm there, that would be pretty swell. Trevor Erin and the kids live pretty close to where we are going to be staying.
Nothing really to comment today, well lots to complain about, work related anyways, but this blog isnt meant to bitch about "super fun time" ie work so ill save that for Leah ;).
so positives for the day... i live in canada, that's pretty good,  got a roof over my head, groceries in the cupboard and food in the fridge. Standard of living is pretty good here. No complaints...

Tomorrow we drive to Chilliwack, then on friday we drive to Edmonton bright and early in the A.M , instead of taking the day off without pay, i was able to use 5.5 hours of my banked time, so i dont lose any pay. Kinda glad i get to do that.  I'd like to save up enough banked hours to go on a little mini 2 week vacation with Leah when she done dealing with the evil goverment runned insurance company. So far after fridays use, i have 9 hours still, which works out to 13.5 hours of regular time. wee.

Tuesday's adventures...

dont got much to comment on today, Jams was really good, we are totally getting better. Were at that place when we only have to hit it up once a week and we are still pretty tight. Cant wait for the recording process...
my computer is a piece of sh... er maybe i should be nice, its what im typing on. It just sucks, lots of times i get the 'not responding' issue. Takes forever to load programs etc... soon, ill get another one.

After jams, I had to get Tyrone and Mike (jungletown band members) to push barney the purple car, cause it wasn't turning over. Glad its a standard and were able to bomb start it. Took a while though, tried in reverse no dice, then forward , once again... no dice, then reverse and then forward again. Finally started and i was off. Came back home, started it in the underground parking, started fine. Did it again a few times and it started everytime. Hopefully it was just some transient issue and Barney will start everytime from now until it gets the boot.

Leah's Birthday and a Cricket adventure

Woke up around 8:30am, took the dogs pee. Baked Leah a cake. Left the cake to cool and drove to British Properties to Hugo Ray Park in West Vancouver watch Theresa and Kim play a game of Cricket. First ever game of cricket I watched. Gotta tell ya, its pretty interesting. We had Tyler here to tell us what was going on, cause he's an aussie, and hes played Cricket too. Without him, been lost.
Came home, cooked up some Deer Chops, Tyler never had deer so we cooked up some up on the barbecue.  Damn good too. thanks Cliff and Gail Proznick for the good deer. Also had taco salad.
After dinner Leah wanted to ice her cake so she did, we ate cake. That's prety much about it, relaxing before bed cause gotta go back to work tomorrow. Glad its only a three day week... off to Edmonton Friday morning.

Sunday funday

This sunday started out like any sunday. Got up made breakfast. Tyler needed clothes so we went to delta to get some clothes and other assorted items. Procceded to shop a little bit. Went to queensborough outlet mall. Then off to lululemon (tyler's sister wanted some pants... they don't have lululemon in brizzy). Didn't find what we were looking for. Decided to go to oakridge mall. Found everything we were looking for. Had some greek food in the food court.
Came home and started up me wii for the first time in a few years. Played some wii sports (baseball, golf and tennis) figured it was time for booze so we went to the liquor store and bought three bottles of wine. Some painted turtle pinot noir, some yellow tail merlot, and some jj mc william shiraz cabernet. We each had our own bottle :)  oh I forgot we went to the superstore to get somw ingredients for tacos and other assorted items.
Had a few drinks, ate some supper then took the transit to richmond to partake in the summer nights market. One of the biggest night markets in north america. Was ok... standard night market. Lots of people, selling items. Bought a pair of sunglasses. Leah got deep fried cheesecake, tyler got deep fried mars bar. I didn't get anything cause I don't like eating deep fried stuff at a night market. Took a cab back cause the transit system is sometimes brutal and chilled out here til sometime past 1am. That was about it.

Tyler's Australian birthday in Vancouver

Last night was good times. Leah went and picked up Tyler, Leahs australian cousin from her grandparents house. It was his birthday (in australia... the time zone shift means it was the 3rd... but only the 2nd here...) and he wanted to come down to Vancovuer and go do something... So it started out with a train ride on the canada line to granville st. We were trying to find a pub to get some food. Figured we would check out doolins cause my buddies brother works ... no dice, there was no tables. So we walked back up granville to Ceilis where we set up shop for the next 4 hours. Had some Perogies and Sausages... can  i just say hmmmm delicious. Drank plenty o' Okanagan Springs 1516.  thats good shit! Ended up drunkenly dancing to some cover or sex on fire by Kings of Leon... interesting as i think that band sucks. Whatever, these things happen.

Left Ceilis sometime after midnight, walked over to the McDonalds across the street. Leah and Tyler had some burgers and fries, i didnt eat anything cause my stomach was acting up a little. Decided to hit the toilet where low and behold three dudes were doing cocaine in the only stall in McDonalds... like come on. Seriously thats where you choose to snort coke... well done.  They finally left and i got down to business... went back out, we left and headed down the street, Seen a place called Cafe Crépe, stopped Tyler got a Crépe. Leah had to go to washroom so we found an A&W. i bought a burger and onion rings, Leah went pee, Tyler bought a burger and some onion rings. Talked to a guy from Yemen for a bit, sorta random... Left A&W, went back to train station, got on train, En route back home, tyler had craving for soft serve ice cream, we went to McDonalds by our house to get some ice cream... Tyler and myself got McFlurry... Leah got double cheeseburger. home at last...
so thats McDonalds twice, Cafe Crépe, and a A&W run all in about 2 hours.... thats allot of greasy fast food.
Finished off the evening with a night cap of Crown Royal and Coke...
All in all gotta say it was a great evening...

Playing Devils Advocate... tisk tisk tisk...

I seen this ad on  my news feeds and i had to comment on it, i wonder why the east doesnt like the west.... heres a pime example of playing devils advocate....

CIA, MI6 helped Gaddafi on dissidents - HRW

TRIPOLI (Reuters) - Documents found in the abandoned Tripoli office of Muammar Gaddafi's intelligence chief indicate the U.S. and British spy agencies helped the fallen strongman persecute Libyan dissidents, Human Rights Watch said on Saturday.
The documents were uncovered by campaign group Human Rights Watch (HRW)in the abandoned offices of Libya's former spy chief and foreign minister, Moussa Koussa.
The group said it uncovered hundreds of letters between the CIA, MI6 and Koussa, who is now in exile in London. Letters from the CIA began, "Dear Moussa" and were signed informally with first names only by CIA officials, HRW said.
The current military commander for Tripoli of Libya's provisional government, Abdel Hakim Belhadj, was among those captured and sent to Libya by the CIA, according to HRW.
"Among the files we discovered at Moussa Koussa's office is a fax from the CIA dated 2004 in which the CIA informs the Libyan government that they are in a position to capture and render Belhadj," HRW's Peter Bouckaert, who was part of the group that found the stash, told Reuters.
"That operation actually took place. He was captured by the CIA in Asia and put on a secret flight back to Libya where he was interrogated and tortured by the Libyan security services."

wake me up when september ends...

dont be fooled by the title of this post... its a quote from a song from Green Day's American Idiot album. Really it means nothing, I like september. last few days i've been wearing a toque (or a winter hat if you will). Some people at work have been asking me why i wear a toque. My response is simply... "its cold outside." Didn't do much note worthy things at work today (like most days) oh i almost forgot, seen a Hertz rental car today with Hawaiian plates so who rents a car in Hawaii then floats it here and leaves in Vancouver. Didnt even know you could ferry a car from Hawaii to Mainland North America.
Was set to have shepherd's pie for dinner tonight, but thas damn McDonalds smelled pretty good on the way home, so we had some McDonalds for dinner. Jungletown is taking an extended weekend. No jams until Setpember 6th, 2011. Recording this month, looking forward to this.
Tourettes syndrome... what do you say when you dont know swear words? i only comment cause im watching a documentary about Tourettes Syndrome.
Finished my "homework" that i mentioned in a few posts ago from when i went to the doctor to make my stomach pains go away. The samples were dropped off at the lab, and so know I get to wait for the results... Anyways, im gonna go watch this documentary on Tourettes.

Tuesdays Gone...

So we went to see Leah's lawyer after work... can't comment... total publication ban. Will write more when the ban is lifted. Anyways we decided to get some gas $1.36 a litre. Thought that was a little steep but whatever. Gotta do what you gotta do.
Went to Ristys for dinner. Leah had sushi, I had burger and fries. Bill was $14.00, pretty cheap for burger and a bento box. Drove to superstore after. Bought some groceries... en route back home I looked at the price of gas at the Husky and low and behold it dropped to... $1.26 a litre.Feel somewhat robbed. If only I waited that hour. Oh well... waddya do. Bitch about it I suppose ;)
Jammed with jungletown today. Played some songs off our set just to stay current. Took a break then worked on our new song "war child" again. Its shaping up to be a gooder...went back to another new song we haven't played since before Mike's accident, called Illegal Dumping. Its also a gooder. Jungletown 2.0 (a.k.a new songs weve written lately cause they dont really resemble older songs) Came home, now I'm hanging out my lovely lady Leah. Good night all.

another usual monday

was just about to start writing... had a sniff... smells like one of my neighbours is smoking the weed. No big deal, its vancouver and that'll happen sometimes. Busy day at work, something like 19 windshields and 7 rock chips at the airport alone... we had help, rick and johnson came out to help.  Thats all im gonna talk about work, this isnt designed to be a bitch fest about work. Was watching the TV after work. there was a advetisement for a show called "toddlers and tiaras" WTF is this world coming to. What a waste of time show is that. No better than Jersey Shore but at least Jersey Shore cast is old enough to make their own decisions.
Had tacos for dinner again...yummmmm! Bathed our dogs today because its been a while since they were bathed and they sorta were stinky from being at the lake and such... that'll happen but now they smell like whatever the dogs shampoo smell like. (i dont really pay attention to that type of stuff all the time).
We have a garbage transfer station down the road from us... well maybe 5 block down... anyways it stinks Cache Creek garbage dump in my house at the moment... pretty gross...
Nothing else to contribute today, dont really remember anything cool happening today. Au revoir!

weekend and such...

Ah the weekend was full of bliss... heres some examples...
at work in friday i got a call from my ear/throat/nose doctor that i went to cause i had a really lame hum in my right ear. She booked me a MRI and sent me on my way, this was back in february. So about 3 weeks ago i had my MRI and friday i got my results. Aparently there is nothing out of the ordinary up there. So no tumors... YAY for that.
Got off work and drove to Surrey to Grandpa and Gramma Bennett house to pick up Tyler (Leahs cousin from Australia). We traded Molly and Sophie for Tyler and we were on our way to Bench Campground at Deer Lake. We met up with some of Leahs cousins Theresa, Kim, and Oliver and Theresa's children Ben and Morgan. Also Leahs uncle Ron and step aunt Donna and their dog sam were there too.  Got there around 7pm...ish and set up camp... started drinking.
Woke up in the morning had some breakfast, then relaxed for a bit and went to the Hicks lake. Lake was pretty damn cold... on the way in anyways, after you got in though it was pretty refreshing.  Stayed by the lake for most of the afternoon. Went back to the camp when more of Leahs family (Aunty Sandy, Uncle Randy, their dogs Lucy and Peanut) came to the lake and our dogs were there, G&G brought them up along with Mike and his chain saw...
We had no wood so we went up to the logging road and went up the mountain a bit and bucked down a few trees for fire wood... had to do that twice becaused we figured we didnt have enough wood. Lucky we did too cause in the morning on sunday there was about 4 logs on the pile. For dinner the group had baked salmon potatoes veggies etc... also there was smoked salmon floating around too. I eat salmon all the time so i was content with camp fire'd hotdogs... yes sir i love me hotdogs whilst camping.   Ended up staying up late, injesting lots of booze. Was good times
Woke up sunday feeling ok, had an egg and two pieces of bacon. Packed up our area of camp, loaded the car, and left. took Mike back to Chilliwack,, went back to Surrey picked up Molly and Sophie. G&G fed us tacos... (hmmmmm) and came home. Now were chilling at home relaxing on the couch...

jiggity-jams

Got off work today, went to Costco, bought some items... then came home, had some amazing home made pizza made by Leah. Superb... went to jams today. First jam in about two weeks with all members. Was good, we breezed through out list of songs, played new one at the end... mentioned in earlier posts... "war child" was worked on and finalized. That song has lots of potential.
A guy whom has a recording studio within the same place that houses our jam space heard us playing. He had some good things to say about us. Telling us we sound heavier and grungier... Sounds good to me, thats awesome. Any good comments is good enough for me. Anyways, tomorrow im leaving the city for the lake, its camping time with Leah's assorted members of family.   Wont be posting anything until monday or something like that. See ya all later....

Keck

Its payday eve,  weehoo...

Went to the gym today, did cardio for 15 minutes, then worked on abs, then chest, then tricepts... for another 15 minutes. Wow, that comment makes me sound like a muscle builder or something like that... not likely, just trying for a healthier way. I can forsee tomorrow being a little sore as i feel sore now.

Thought about bringing back a song from my past, i'm pretty sure i wrote the guitar parts for it. Its called Keck. Used to play it back in grade 10 in a band called Undersleeve. I can always bring back the guitar part and make everything new. Sounds like a plan, just gotta make sure i can use that riff... gotta ask Greg Petty or Casey Ladoski, the other former members of Undersleeve.
Nothing else cool happened today... that i can remember anyways...

more windscreens and kinesiology home work

Me and Cory "pounded out" (classic windshield slinger saying) with then help of fellow speedy glasser Ray, 23 windshields and a rock chip today... between three contracts at the airport (Avis-Budget Group, Dollar Thrifty and Hertz. It took us 10.5 hours to do it, but we did it. Came home at 6pm and went to McDonalds... yup, had to do it. then helped Leah with her kinesiology home work. Nothing else happened on this 22nd of August, 2011. Weather was nice.
Was suppose to jam with Jungletown, but got cancelled. That happens from time to time. We have this agreement that if one person doesn't want to jam, its cool and theres no sense getting mad cause its only jams... Taking our band not to serious helps us lots, cause there's no stress involved.

Forgot to talk about the death of a few people, about a week ago a good friends of the family died. Alec Walters. Him along with his wife gave me this teddy bear... actually its a mouse called mousey. I got this mousey bear when i was a wee lad, dont quite remember when i got it, but i believe i must have been 1 or so. I remember spending plenty of time at their house growing up, watching Top Gun everytime we were there. Have plenty of memories goint to their house. He will be missed... R.I.P Mr Walters.
The other, i didnt know him at all, but he i liked his charasma... Mr Jack Layton. I did not vote for his party, although i thought about it long and hard, but the NDP fu... umm errr... rhymes with pucked... BC back in the 90's. im sure its a different party and all that but i was weary. I ended up voting for the ************ party... like im gonna share with the internet whom i voted for. I liked how he did get the official opposition though. He was on the way to getting my vote within the next couple years. Anyways the news says that he was voted most likely to enjoy having a beer with in a contest out of all the politicians in Canada... RIP Mr Layton.
Thats it for today, hope you had a enjoyable read. 10-4 over and out.

dinners in surrey with the bennetts and first day or work...

First day back installing windscreens for speedy glass in about a week. Wasnt to bad, it was raining like the dickens and the avis lot was full. It get hard to sling windscreens when its raining. Moving cars to get to cars is a pain in the ass too but that didnt happen today. Normally when its raining we have to work in side one at a time type stuff cause rain doesnt work well with the urethane....Wasnt to much to do so that was good. Did two rock chip repairs and three windshield replacments. Pretty quiet for a monday since lately we (me and Cory) have been working hard to sling 10 to 12 per day pretty much everyday...

After super fun time (work) [its a that 70's show quote], drove with molly and sophie, my two little terriers, to Grandpa and Grandma Bennetts house in Delta. I found it all by myself.  Leah was coming from another direction with another car cause her cousin Kim was borrowing our borrowed car.
we had all kinds of salad. Mostly gluten free. Oh yeah, and Theresa's salad was good mmmmmmm! in fact they were all good.
We had to discuss the camping trip to Hicks Lake thats set to happen this weekend. Finally going camping, might take the rod out and see if i can get in a few casts... :)

the last day of vacation in August... and a 40th wedding anniversary

sadly tis my last day of vacation today. Have done some ok stuff, nothing major, but that'll happen sometimes. The most important part is that i was away from work for 10 whole days, relaxing. Either relaxing on the couch at home, or in ashcroft for a few days. The moral of the story was to relax, and relax is what i did. So what if of didnt go to mexico or anyplace like that. The next set of holidays are going to be spent in Hawaii, so screw you mexico.

At noon i met mike at our rehearsal space. we jammed for a bit, switched up instruments and played the drums for a bit. Was good to play the guitar and drums for the first time in about a week and a bit. Lookin forward to tuesdays jams. We listened to a demo that we recorded earlier in the month called "war child", its really good, got lots of potential. Cant wait to record it.

Today is my mom and dads 40th wedding anniversary, yup thats right folks 40 years. It can be done. Most marriages last what... 5 to 10 years these days. Only a handful of people get it right at stay together for damn near ever. So to that i say congratulations to you both. An amazing feat from todays standards... 40 years. Thats awesome, way to go guys. :)
This is my parents 40 years ago on their wedding day...

and this is a shot of them in Campbell River BC, at Grandma DeCraene's house May 2012.

chainsaws at soccer games...

written for Friday, August 19th, 2011
So I was watching the tv and I noticed that in portland during mls games, dudes with chainsaws act like cheerleaders... don't know what to think of that.
Gave three vials of blood today at bc biomedical labs on cambie and 41st, in Vancouver. They gave me instructions for gathering of specimans at home... yay for that. Ill spare the deets cause i dont feel like sharing that type of information.
Went to the gym this afternoon. Only for 30 minutes but I killed 338 calories. About average for a 30 minute elliptical excerise. Good times

rocking a mosey in vancouver/burnaby

Went to the doctors office today cause i have had this issue with my stomach for a good part of my life. When i was a kid, i went to a naturopath and he had me on like 9 pills a day. I took them and it went away within time... but it's came back the last few years. Some call it a nervous stomach, others call it IBS, (i think they are the same thing acutally).  I think that stress has something to do with it... damn you stress... anyways, i get to go and get blood work done; prolly tomorrow. Sounds like good times to finally get this shit dealt with... no pun intended.
For dinner we had homemade pizza... hmmmm good stuff. Not even close to dominos, or pizza hut but its healthier, had pepperoni.
Havent seen the inside of a gym in about a week, getting the itch to go soon. Normally go 3 times a week, same with jamming with my band. Normally tuesdays, thursdays and sundays. Our drummer Mike was involved in a car crash a little while so he's been on light duty since then. So we've scaled back jams to once a week or whatever, no big deal. Better to be healthy then not. The guys gotta heal, it's all good. Plus i've been on vacation from everything lately. Getting the itch to get back on the ole bass though.

Stocks market... what shall we say, holy hanna. Seems like a shit storm, the DJIA (new york) is down 365.17 points to end at 11,045.04, and the TSX (toronto) is down 248.52 points to end the day at 12,331.09. not really sure what that mean, i am learning a little here and there. But i see that the only think in the plus again is gold. c'est la vie

ICBC... what the fu... na. ill get in that rant at a later date... (but its coming and its gonna be a good one)

a day with Leah and some of her healthcare team

Went downtown with Leah today to Coal Harbour Massage Therapy for her massage therapy appointment. The owner almost got me a free massage but the slot was quickly booked by someone else, was the thought that counts though. Saw the new BC place stadium, thought that was pretty neat. The below photo is of the BC Place... Came back home and went to Performax Health Group in Burnaby. Watched as she got Prolotherapy and then when that was done she had Physiotherapy. After that we went to the superstore and bought groceries...around $114.00 worth. For fun I looked at the HST portion... and not to my amazement.... $2.01. yup thats right. 2 dollars worth of tax for over a hundred dollars of groceries. Thats what happens when you dont buy shit, and buy healthier foods...

this and that and seven degrees of bacon

Came back to Vancouver today. Ashcroft was fun, but it was time to get back to the city. Plus Leah had to go to a kinesiology appointment. The trip was good, traffic was at a bare minimum. Just some summertime road construction, and some BS in chilliwack that the radio called road work but it was really just a guy sitting in his truck on the side of the road. But he had the lane blocked off for about 150 metres, so that caused a back up... thanks for that delay sir.
On a little more interesting note, i found out yesterday that my Aunt Shirley Plautz husband , my Uncle Garry's brothers wife's mother is married to the Bacon brothers grandfather. Not everyday do you find out that you have seven degrees of separation with gangsters. Suppose that'll happen.

more village times...

Man its nice to be on a weeks vacation... Still in the village, relaxing most if the day away, sounds like a perfect way to start a one week vacation from work. Going to go to my cousins house (two doors down from my folks house)  for an afternoon swim. Temperature in Ashcroft (high of 27degrees C) not to bad for the village. normally its around the mid to high 30 degrees C but what can you do?
Visiting with Blake, my brother, and my niece Emma. they came down from Kamloops yesterday. ... its been decided, going swimming right now, might contribute more later...

hanging out in the village...

First post:
Woke up today feeling pretty tired, that'll happen when you go to a wedding and come home at 2:00am when you used to going to bed at 10:00pm. Thats right, the older you get the earlier you go to bed. No more going out consistantly on friday, saturday nights. hitting up the booze. Now adays its watching TV or doing laundry and going to bed at 10:00pm... is that lame or just the way it goes the older you get.  ramblings...
Went to Candace and Greg Pigeons wedding yesterday. T'was good to see people I havent seen in ages, and to meet new people. Wedding took place at Hi-Hium Lake Fishing Resort, and the reception took place at the Clinton Town Hall in Clinton BC.
